I am currently on a study trip to China—with the goal of understanding the developments on the ground and, above all, identifying opportunities for German companies.
What fascinates me already: The Chinese have no problem with contradictions.
On the contrary—they live their millennia-old traditions and integrate future technologies into their daily lives as a matter of course.
An example:
* West of Guiyang, far out in the countryside—and yet people here pay with WeChat as a matter of course.
* Taxi drones? Not a future scenario, but already a reality. They are currently being tested in pilot phases—and could soon significantly change everyday life here.
This combination of digital ease and cultural rootedness impresses me.
China shows that the future and heritage do not have to be opposites—but can complement each other.
In the coming days, I will continue to provide insights—and will be happy to report on what German companies can expect on the ground, which industries could particularly benefit, and how sustainable exchange on equal terms can be established.
Stay curious—I look forward to having you accompany me on this journey.
