At the symposium “The Importance of Climate Change for Urban Life” with Karsten Schwanke<\/a>, one thing became very clear:
The facts have been on the table for decades.
What is missing is not more insight \u2013 but decisive action.

\ud83d\udccdBerlin does not have a knowledge deficit, according to Schwanke, but an implementation problem \u2013 and this affects not only politics, but all of us:

\ud83d\udd39 Urban planners
\ud83d\udd39 Architects
\ud83d\udd39 Project developers
\ud83d\udd39 and yes, even us real estate professionals

His clear message:
\ud83d\udc49 City centers urgently need more greenery
\ud83d\udc49 Heat protection is not a “nice-to-have,” but a matter of survival
\ud83d\udc49 Europe will also be massively affected by climate change \u2013 heat records, altered current systems, and the question of where to flee when it’s hot everywhere?

Particularly impressive were the examples from Copenhagen and Sanaa, where architecture meets climate resilience \u2013 visionary yet implementable.

Thanks to the Stiftung urban future forum e.V.<\/a> for the invitation and the valuable discussion. There is still much to do \u2013 and it begins with every single project we are responsible for.
